Sold Quilt - Batik Bricks

This quilt features a few dozen cotton prints from various traditional Japanese quilting and dobby fabric collections. The main colour is blue, ranging from purplish blue to navy to deep royal blue with a range of red accent tones. The pattern called Batik Bricks was designed by Nellie Holmes and Christine Baker of Upper Canada Quiltworks - it is available for purchase - and my store sample was sold with permission. This quilt measures 70.5" x 106.5" and is appropriate for a twin bed quilt. The machine quilting in a bright dark blue thread can been seen in the close up photo. This quilt is entirely pieced blocks and does not have a border. The backing is a deep royal blue Well Curb print. This quilt design is considered large scale with 6 blocks across and 9 blocks down.
