Sashiko Fabric - Panel #2096 - South Wind, Clear Sky

$20.00

This preprinted Japanese Sashiko fabric features the woodblock print called South Wind, Clear Sky created around 1831 by the artist Hokusai.  This design is part of Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji, the most famous of which is The Great Wave off Kanagawa.  Stitch on stamped lines with Sashiko thread, embroidery floss or pearl cotton. White stamped lines dissolve in water. Panels are 100% navy blue cotton and measure 14" x 28" each. Stamped design is 14" square, covering half of the panel, and a plain square, which can be used as the back of a pillow or bag, makes up the other half.  Due to the dense nature of this panel, Kallisti recommends that you stitch with THIN thread.
