Sashiko Fabric - Panel #2094 - The Great Wave

This preprinted Japanese sashiko fabric features the iconic woodblock print The Great Wave off Kanagawa, created around 1831 by the artist Hokusai and part of the series called Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji.  Stitch on stamped lines with Sashiko thread, embroidery floss or pearl cotton. White stamped lines dissolve in water. Panels are 100% navy blue cotton and measure 14" x 28" each. Stamped design is 14" square, covering half of the panel, and a plain square, which can be used as the back of a pillow or bag, makes up the other half.  Due to the dense nature of this panel, Kallisti recommends that you stitch with THIN thread.
