Modern Japanese Rice Pouch by KZ Stevens
This pattern is designed by Karen Stevens. It features a modern take on a traditional komebukuro or drawstring Japanese rice rice bag that is traditionally used for carrying rice or gifts. Instructions make a bag measuring 6," 7" or 8." You can get creative with this pattern and make your panels with patchwork and/or add sashiko stitching. The additional photo shows Kallisti's first version made from a scrap pack, which is available in the Scrap Packs section.
