Tanzanian Batiks

The 2023 Tanzanian Batik collection is here!  These batiks are hand printed, hand dyed and fairly traded from batik artists in Dar es Salaam.  Batiks measure approximately 43" wide.  Swatches show approximately 6" to 8" square, so most designs can be classified as medium to large scale. 

All fabrics are 100% cotton and colourfast.  Any residual wax can be easily removed in a hot water wash.  Due to rising transportation costs, batiks now cost $20 per metre and $5 per fat quarter.  Please note that Kallisti Quilts will no longer be stocking Tanzanian batiks, so they have been reduced to 50% of their original price!  Click on an individual swatch to order!
