This quilt features bold West African prints with many traditional motifs in a brilliant palette of yellow, orange and red with metallic gold edging. The pattern called Batik Bricks was designed by Nellie Holmes and Christine Baker of Upper Canada Quiltworks - it is available for purchase - and my store sample is being sold with permission. This quilt measures 47.5" x 58.5" and is appropriate for a lap quilt. It also has a hidden sleeve on the back for easy hanging. The machine quilting in a dark rust thread can been seen in the close up photo.
